Isopropyl Alcohol, (commonly called propan-2-ol, isopropanol or 2-propanol), is a solvent used in coatings or in other industrial processes. IPA can also be used for clean-up of spraying equipment, versatile product for both soap and cosmetic makers etc. IPA is an effective sterilising agent, disinfectant, hand sanitiser and rubbing alcohol antiseptic (70% solution in water) - 7 parts IPA to 3 parts water. IPA is widely used in hospitality as an effective disinfectant against the influenza and other viruses.

Isopropyl alcohol dissolves a wide range of non-polar compounds like wax, polish, ink and some resins. IPA is miscible in water and many organic solvents, like esters, ketones, and other alcohols. It also evaporates quickly, leaves nearly zero oil traces, compared to ethanol. Thus, it is used widely as a solvent and as a cleaning fluid, especially for dissolving oils.

Multi purpose cleaner for plastics, electronics and glass. Removes shoe polish, wax & permanent ink from most surfaces. Great for cleaning makeup brushes. Commonly used printing chemical.
